how to live before you die

At his Stanford University commencement speech, Steve Jobs, CEO and co-founder of Apple and Pixar, urges us to pursue our dreams and see the opportunities in life’s setbacks – including death itself.  I urge you to listen to this speech given several years ago. You may have already seen it and all I can say is, it is worth watching again. How apropos for the beginning of 2010.

I invite you to look at what you want to accomplish this year. What are your goals? What are your aspirations? What motivates you?  What drives you?   We all face changes and this year is the year of shifting how we think and do things.  What once worked in business will no longer be enough.  We must take the initiative and lead with new innovative ideas.

It is also the year that we take the initiative to learn.  As things change and change is inevitable, then we must realign ourselves with what will work. Learning new skills, stretching our imagination, exploring new and creative ways to reach out to our audience.   I encourage you to share this video with your colleagues, friends and family and have them do the same.  I hope you enjoy it as much as I did for the third time.
