SEO … what, why how?

December 28th, 2010

As published in Whole Foods Magazine

Search engine optimization, search engine marketing, search engine management and then we have all the acronyms that go with them. But, what is Search Engine Optimization and how can it help us in marketing our Web sites or helping our businesses?

Search engine optimization (SEO) is the art of creating Web pages that will rank high in search engine returns. You can have the most elaborate Web site that may have cost hundreds of thousands of dollars, but if no one knows it’s there, then your investment will reap you zero return. The only way your Web site will work for you is when it is seen by your potential customers. About 98% of » Read more: SEO … what, why how?

5 simple steps to protect yourself from hackers on facebook

May 21st, 2010

I’ve been meaning to write this blog post for some time now but things just seem to keep getting in the way.  So its time to stop procrastinating as I have no excuses left and I just need to do it!

And by the way, these are probably the most popular platforms out there and you can add MySpace to the popularity list.  Yes, there are so many benefits to using these networks to connect with family and friends and for businesses the opportunities are endless.

What we do not hear about are the potential dangers that lurk in the dark corners of some of these platforms and today specifically, I want to address the privacy issues and risks we all assume by creating a profile on FaceBook.

how to use google and twitter to find your customers

April 9th, 2010

I get an enormous amount of email daily and much of these are articles and new information on Social Media and how to use the various tools available.  There is so much information being posted on a regular basis that sometimes its difficult to filter it down to useful bytes.  (like me use of bites/bytes?)  Today was no different.  I however come across this great article on “How To Use Google and Twitter To Find Your Customers.”  I wanted to share this one with you as I feel it will answer some questions about how to use some of the tools that are available and I just personally felt that Eric Tsai did such a great job in explaining this to everyone in terms we can all understand and in a step by step process.

I invite you to read the full article here.  I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.
